My name is Amelia Morrison Hipps. I am an award-winning editorial and communications professional with years of experience in the newspaper industry, public relations, publication design, event planning, and management.

Throughout my years in the community newspaper industry as an editor, I led staffs to over 115 awards. I have over a dozen awards for my reporting, editorials, and personal columns. Also, I have designed and written content for social media, websites, newsletters, magazines, and marketing materials.

In addition to editing the work of my staffs in the newspaper industry, I have also done copy-editing for the non-fiction book “The Power of Unpopular” by Erika Napoletano, as well as done in-depth continuity and copy-editing for the award-winning juvenile novel “Patriots and Rebels” by John C. Bush.

In the public relations and marketing industries, I worked with non-profits and political candidates to raise public awareness and funds by obtaining earned media coverage, designing and maintaining websites and social media accounts, as well as organizing, coordinating, and managing fundraising events.
